We had 3 private tours with Mariluz .The first day we did a 2 hour private car/2 hour walking tour of Madrid . The second tour was a guided tour through the Sophia Reina where Mariluz told us all about Pablo Picasso’s iconic painting Geurnica. The history is heart breaking and inspiring all in one and we were very touched to hear of its homecoming in 1981. On our last day we did a full day in Toledo . It was fantastic and Mariluz took us expertly through the warren of small streets to each stop.

Mariluz is a wonderful guide! She is very professional and pleasant. We took three tours with her during two days in Madrid: Royal Palace and Old Madrid, the Thyssen-B Art Museum, and the Prado Art Museum and Retiro Park. She walks and talks at a comfortable pace; we never felt rushed or bored. Her knowledge of art and history is extensive. Together with my mother, I did the private walking tour of the Royal Palace and Old Town with Jackie in early March 2023.
Jackie was fantastic! He has incredible knowledge about the area and the history of Spain, and his friendliness and professionalism are absolutely top-notch. It quickly adapted to accommodate the slower walking pace my mom desired...
It was evident that Jackie is an expert on this tour, and it was a pleasure to see how many locals and staff at the Royal Palace recognized her. Honestly, I wasn't particularly excited about the tour itself, but Jackie made it an interesting and delightfully memorable experience. I absolutely recommend Jackie to any Spanish or English speaker who would like to spend a morning and afternoon walking around and learning from a very nice and knowledgeable local expert.

Jackie took us through the Madrid of the Austrias and the Madrid of the Bourbons, telling us about the important sites along the way and making sure we had ample photo opportunities. She gave us an in-depth insight into Madrid and took us to some places we had never heard of, not just the ones we would have encountered anyway. He also gave us some suggestions on what to do after the tour. I'd be happy to have Jackie as a guide again.

We travel a lot and exclusively use Tours by Locals. Mariluz was exceptional, the best guide we've had to date. She guided 4 of us on two half-day and one full-day tours of Madrid and Segovia. Unsurprisingly, she is very knowledgeable, but what sets her apart is her personality and style. He is friendly, personable and patient, "able to analyze" the interests of his clients to tailor their visits and make them as interesting as possible. We enthusiastically recommend it and if you are on tour in and around Madrid, don't hesitate!

Jackie was an excellent tour guide very informative. We were able to see all the highlights of Madrid in four hours. She was flexible and when she found out that we had seen some of the things she planned to show us, she was able to rearrange the itinerary and get us to the royal palace at the last minute without waiting in line and escaping the heatwave. His knowledge of the history and facts of the palace were astounding. I would definitely recommend this tour and this guide.

Après m’avoir rencontré, Mariluz on s’est baladées dans la partie du vieux Madrid tout en admirant l’histoire et l’architecture sur le chemin du Prado, puis de retour à l’hôtel, par la nouvelle avenue commerçante La Gran Via, moderne. La visite du Prado a été merveilleuse. This was a great way to see Madrid. Our tour guide, Mariluz, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of history, answering all our questions as well. The tour begins with a 2-hour driving tour, with stops along the way for photos. There is an independent driver so that the tour guide can focus on the tour itself. Then, there is a 2-hour walking tour that starts in the city center. We did this tour on our first day in Madrid and thought I would use it to book any site/museum we wanted to enter and see. Overall, this was a good plan, but a note is that the Royal Palace is booked well in advance. We were able to see the outside during the tour, but if you're interested in getting in, I recommend booking well in advance.

Tour parfait! Cette visite était exactement ce que je voulais et est probablement le meilleur cas pour tous ceux qui recherchent une visite au musée du Prado et au parc. C’était instructif, mais jamais ennuyeux, et Mariluz est extrêmement compétente en matière de musée et de la ville de Madrid en général. We stood in front of Las Meninas and she pulled out a pocket mirror so we could appreciate the painting's 3-D. Une visite délicieuse et personnalisée du Prado et de la ville. Après m’avoir rencontré, Mariluz on s’est baladées dans la partie du vieux Madrid tout en admirant l’histoire et l’architecture sur le chemin du Prado, puis de retour à l’hôtel, par la nouvelle avenue commerçante La Gran Via, moderne. La visite du Prado a été merveilleuse. Mariluz m’a guidé à travers les grandes collections jusqu’à des chefs d’œuvre (et quelques œuvres moins connues), fournissant beaucoup de contexte et d’histoire. Je la recommande vivement !

.-Je savais que nous ne pouvions pas aller à Madrid sans aller au musée du Prado, et Mariluz était la guide parfaite. Tour parfait! Cette visite était exactement ce que je voulais et est probablement le meilleur cas pour tous ceux qui recherchent une visite au musée du Prado et au parc. C’était instructif, mais jamais ennuyeux, et Mariluz est extrêmement compétente en matière de musée et de la ville de Madrid en général. Elle s’assure de vous montrer les points forts absolus tout en laissant de la place pour d’autres choses qui contribuent à l’expérience globale. This was a great way to see Madrid. Our tour guide, Mariluz, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of history, answering all our questions as well. The tour begins with a 2-hour driving tour, with stops along the way for photos. There is an independent driver so that the tour guide can focus on the tour itself. Then, there is a 2-hour walking tour that starts in the city center. We did this tour on our first day in Madrid and thought I would use it to book any site/museum we wanted to enter and see. Overall, this was a good plan, but a note is that the Royal Palace is booked well in advance. We were able to see the outside during the tour, but if you're interested in getting in, I recommend booking well in advance.

We loved Jackie. She was very accommodating in both our time setting and the places we wanted to see. Jackie was incredibly knowledgeable and was so much fun to be with. He managed to keep 2 teenagers interested in everything he was talking about and that alone was awesome.
