The amazing Royal Palace of Madrid is the largest in western Europe. The palace was the official residence of the Spanish Royal family for almost 200 years and is still used today for Court ceremonies and official entertaining. You will feel like a king walking with me through the State Rooms and the Royal Armory. After visiting the Royal Palace we’ll continue on to a nice stroll to explore the Old Town. Madrid treasures its historical area, we call it “castizo”, meaning ‘authentic’, in which, fortunately, we have the pleasure of living. Let us show you our neighborhood, its narrow streets and pedestrian areas, its legends and hidden gems.

The tour is done entirely on foot and, if you feel like resting and relaxing for a while, we might as well take a break. There are many nice bars and taverns in this area.
The Old Town is known as “Madrid de los Austrias” (Habsburg Madrid). This historical area gets its name from the monuments located here which date back to the 16th and 17th XVI and XVII centuries, when the Habsburgs ruled Spain.
